Survey on Modality of Delivery of Instruction

August 12, 2021

Last June 23, 2021, the Department of Education released an advisory on the opening of classes for the school year 2021-2022, advising private and non-DepEd schools that they may begin the classes even if there is no general school opening decision yet. Respondents also stated that this year's teaching modality would strictly be distance learning and no face-to-face classes.

To determine the situation of Catholic Schools in responding to the said distance learning mandate, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines surveyed the modality of the delivery of instruction in May-June 2021. The survey was distributed to more than 1500 CEAP member-schools in all seventeen country regions, thus yielded 464 responses.

The schools in NCR, Region IV, and Region I have the most responses in this survey. Most Catholic Schools intend to start the classes in August, which 87% of the respondents stated.
