The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) held a meeting with school leaders to discuss concerns related to the planned implementation of the Strengthened Senior High School (SSHS) program.
CEAP Executive Director Narcy Ador Dionisio was joined by Dr. Gina Montalan of Ateneo de Davao University, Ms. Teresa Punsalan of Holy Angel University, Fr. Jun Inocencio of UniTVET, and Mr. Eric Cerrado Bocalan of St. Jude Parish School Inc.
Key issues raised include the need for a clear framework, capacity building for teachers, and the development of effective monitoring tools. The group emphasized starting with a strand or subject coordinators, who must fully understand the curriculum design to guide implementation and identify faculty development needs.
CEAP aims to develop a support program to assist Catholic schools in preparing for the SSHS rollout.
