CEAP is proud of and congratulates one of its most active members, Miriam College, for being chosen by the Republic of India as the recipient of a bronze bust of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Indian Nation, on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary and in celebration of the 70 years of diplomatic relations between India and the Philippines. The unveiling of the bust was led by H.E. Ram Nath Kovind, President of India, at the Environmental Studies Institute of Miriam College on October 20, 2019. The Miriam College community, led by its Center for Peace Education, is an advocate and witness of peace and nonviolence, principles which Gandhi taught and lived by."
