To ramp up its preparations for the 2025 CEAP National Convention this September, the CEAP National Office and the Sponsorship and Partners Engagement Committee, headed by Br. Edmundo Adolfo L. Fernandez, FSC, CEAP Treasurer, hosted an orientation assembly for sponsors, friends, and partners of the Association on February 13, 2025. Forty representatives from over thirty companies gathered to view sponsorship packages, the Convention program design, and to pledge their participation.

 

Following the opening prayer, CEAP Executive Director Mr. Jose Allan I. Arellano gave the opening remarks. He outlined the objectives of the gathering. He then gave the floor to CEAP President Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, who delivered his welcome remarks through a pre-recorded video message.

 

Fr. San Juan told everybody that the theme for this year’s Convention would still be “pilgrims of hope,” carrying off the spirit of synodality from previous Conventions. However, the Convention will feature new things such as innovative initiatives, a fellowship night, and artistic renditions from talented students. The talks will especially discuss hope practiced in education, social transformation, and ultimately hope in God.

 

Mr. Arellano explained the tentative program flow of this year’s Convention. He gave a rundown of the program agreed upon by the design team earlier this week. Some notable parts of the program are the continuation of the concurrent sessions, talks, and Masses to be presided over by renowned bishops, and the much-anticipated raffle. Mr. Arellano also encouraged everyone to join the Convention preparations and to contribute to the solemnity of the traditional Blessing of Exhibits.

 

Br. Edmundo Adolfo L. Fernandez, FSC then delivered a short report on the Convention expenses and the contributions of the sponsors to the event over recent years. Afterward, he showed everybody the sponsorship packages and the meeting rooms offered by CEAP to interested exhibitors. He formally opened sign-ups and encouraged everyone to participate.

 

After an open forum facilitated by Mr. Arellano, the event ended with dinner and cordial exchanges between friends and partner companies. The attendees discussed among themselves their contributions and their special places at the much-awaited event at SMX Convention Center Manila this September.
